The Young Speaker Competition

Nationwide
Junior High and Upper Secondary School Students
Program Duration: Full Academic Year

Overview
Now in its fourth year at Atid Educational Network, and in collaboration with Rotary International, The Young Speaker Competition offers students across the country a powerful platform to express themselves in the language of their choice – Hebrew, Arabic, or English.

What’s in the program?
The competition takes place on three levels: school, regional/district, and national.
It provides students with a stage for rhetorical engagement on a variety of fascinating topics. Throughout the process, students receive professional support and mentoring from Rotary representatives, helping them build confidence and improve their public speaking abilities.
This is a transformative experience that enhances communication and self-expression skills among the younger generation.

What’s Required from the School?

  • Appoint a teacher to coordinate the competition at the school and serve as the contact person with Rotary and the Atid network
  • Allocate regular time in the school schedule for student preparation
  • Decide on the structure of participation (by grade level, whole school, or selected students)
