P.L.A. Program

Alternative Learning Path
Grades 7–12

The P.L.A. (Personal Learning Advancement) program, initiated by the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, is operated by the Atid Education Network in 41 secondary schools, reaching approximately 1,800 immigrant students in grades 7–12.

Each group in the program receives eight hours of weekly support: six hours of academic reinforcement and two hours dedicated to social education, enrichment, and empowerment. Activities take place after school hours, and every session includes a light meal for participants.

In addition to regular sessions, the program offers enrichment days, educational trips, and opportunities for active community involvement.

Program Goals:

  • Promote equal opportunities for immigrant students by narrowing educational gaps and reducing dropout rates
  • Increase the percentage of students eligible for the matriculation certificate
  • Foster personal and group empowerment while strengthening students’ sense of identity and belonging to the community and society
  • Encourage active social involvement and raise the enlistment rate in the army and national service
