Overview 

An inspiring educational program inviting teachers to guide their students on a personal and community journey. Through family stories and communal heritage, 9th and 10th graders will discover the values and wisdom embedded in their traditions. 

What’s in the program?

Teachers will have the opportunity to strengthen students’ connection to their roots and deepen their understanding of themselves and their cultural identity. The program offers an adaptable process to implement in schools, fostering meaningful dialogue about family stories and history. This empowers imagination and broadens students’ creative thinking. 

What is required from the school? 

  • Appoint a contact person to participate in training sessions and coordinate with the mentor on scheduling and logistics 
  • Recruit a committed group of about 17 participants 
  • Hold meetings every two to three weeks, integrated into the school schedule 
  • Involve the grade coordinator and social-pedagogical education staff 
  • Annual budget including funding for a final event
