Amit LaDerech – A Peer Program for Veteran School Principals

Target Audience: School Principals

The Amit LaDerech program was created to strengthen the sense of belonging within the school leadership community, encourage collaboration, and increase the impact of each principal. This initiative serves as a bridge between veteran and new principals, offering a structured system of mentoring, support, and personal guidance.

Through this program, experienced principals are invited to share their knowledge and insights, inspire new leaders, and take part in a meaningful educational journey that reinforces a united and empowered leadership network across the school system.

 Why Join the Program?

  1. To Lead and Make an Impact – Support new principals in their professional growth while building relationships based on mutual trust, and deepen your own sense of purpose in educational leadership.
  2. To Grow Personally and Professionally -Take part in a mentoring journey that strengthens your leadership skills and personal development.
  3. To Give Back – Share your experience and knowledge to empower the next generation of educational leaders.
  4. To Be Part of Something Bigger – Join a unique community of veteran leaders and contribute to the success of the entire educational network.

How Does It Work?

  • One-on-One Mentoring – Monthly personalized meetings with a new principal at mutually convenient times, including ongoing support via phone or Zoom.
  • Group Meetings – Quarterly sessions for shared learning, experience exchange, and professional development benefitting both mentors and mentees.
  • Training and Preparation – A practical, experiential workshop equipping veteran principals with tools to guide and support their peers through complex leadership challenges.
  • Ongoing Professional Support – Continuous guidance throughout the program, with assistance provided at every stage of the mentoring process.
